Working on my Blogging Skills…

I know I have not been a great blogger or a blogger at all for that matter.   I wanted to set up a blog to share my business with you and let you follow along in my journey.  Well I had good intentions but I was a little intimidated.  I didn’t have the time (and still don’t) to learn everything there is to know about blogging.  I am one of those that likes to at least feel like I have all the information before I begin something new.  I don’t necessarily have to know it all but I at least like to know that I have a good overall understanding.  This whole blogging thing really threw me for a loop.  I spend so much time painting furniture, working on projects, tending to the booth and now building a house that the online “stuff” suffers.  I feel that I am good at Facebook but that is where it ends.  I am going to do better for you.  I am in the process of getting everything working together.  I set up a Pinterest page, www.pinterest.com/plantationrelic, and I am currently setting up a business Instagram.  Bear with me as I figure all of this out and show you some of what you want–Painting and Projects!!

So I want to leave you with a picture of the buffet that gained so much attention on my Facebook page.  I will be blogging about it soon!  Check out my Facebook page if you haven’t already.  www.facebook.com/PlantationRelics.com

Oh yes that buffet sure did get lots of attention on facebook! I’m still working on figuring out my blogging rhythm as well…it’s tough.

I have been talking about doing this for so long. I will just jump in and figure it out along the way. I have to do a blog post on the buffet. It was the most talked about piece I think I have ever had.

Gurrl, I hear ya. I don’t want to start unless everything is just perfect… which means I then never start. I posted today too, so come over and see me today, and we can find our way together. xo

Sounds good. I am a terrible writer to boot. I didn’t get that gene! I’ll check you out!

So glad to hear we lead parallel lives. Well, not actually “glad,” I suppose, but nice to know I’m not alone. My daughter and I started blogging in February, as well. I’m just now beginning to find my rhythm. I look forward to meeting you at Haven!!

Kudos to you for making it to Haven Sabrina even though you’re not a ‘regular’ blogger. Everyone has a different journey in this thing called blogging, and although I’m about as far away from an expert as one can get, my advice is don’t take it too seriously and just blog when you want. You have quite a bit on your plate with things that are more imoortant and that’s ok.

We didn’t get much of a chance to talk this weekend, but I knew I would find your site interesting (I love redone furniture) so I wanted to stop by and pay you a visit. Glad I did! Hope you had fun at Haven and learned a lot and made some new friends!

Thank you so much. We moved right before Haven but I wasn’t going to miss it. I am just now taking all the information in and putting it to good use! Thank you again for your encouraging words!

Never miss a thing!
