Hall Bath Tile Design –It’s Quite the Transformation.

Flip House Hall Bath Tile

The Flip House is moving right along with my favorite part–TILE.  I just love tile design and there are endless possibilities to be creative.  The Hall Bath was so exciting to work on.  Since we gutted it, I was able to design the entire room from scratch basically.  All new tile design for the wall tile and new tile for the floor. It was such a large space for this size house and I think it had the most potential for a major transformation.  If you remember, I completely reworked the layout of the bathroom.  It just wasn’t functioning to the best of its ability.  It had an awkward layout that didn’t maximize the space.  You can take a look at the before pics here and the new layout in the house plan post here.  I do have to show one before picture the bathroom but go to the full post for the complete story.

Here she is in pink full effect!!!  And it was really gross.  Yuck!

And now on to the present day.  I just love the way the tile turned out.  I won’t keep you waiting any longer.  Here we go…

Here is a the shower area with its waterproof shower liner and tile backerboard.  Now the owner won’t have to worry about falling through the floor.

And up goes the tile!  The niche is lined with matte glass tile and the walls are a ceramic tile made to mimic marble.  It is beautiful in person.  We laid the tile in a vertical brick pattern to draw the eye up and make the shower area appear even larger.Hall bath tile start of shower flip

This is just a slightly different angle.

And from the other side.  I think we just need some plumbing fixtures.

One last shot of the shower.  The floor is hexagon shaped tile.  It definitely helped break up all the straight lines don’t you think?

Sorry I don’t have a better photo of the floor but they covered it as soon as it dried and I didn’t get a chance to snap a great photo.  This is a darker grey tile laid in a herringbone pattern.  It has a wood type design and sort of looks like grey wood on the floor.  So cool and it sure looks great in this pattern.

Yep I think you can say this is now a completely different room!  Hooray for bathroom makeovers!!!

Up next is the Master Bath.  You may need to sit down for that one!

Thanks again for following along!
